Joseph, age 47, Multiple Sclerosis
Joseph arrived to our clinic after having exhausted many avenues to improve his quality of life. He was diagnosed with chronic progressive MS five years ago. He presented to us with a spastic, unsteady gait, assisted by two forearm crutches. His spirit appeared positive and his faith and strong family support took him a long way.
However the notable compromise to his lower extremities painted a grim prognosis. Both legs were cold to the touch, mottled, and very spastic with persistent debilitating cramping of both legs. His capillary refill on the tibia was 3-4 seconds. His bladder control, almost nonexistent, also restricted him to short trips.
After receiving approximately 20 treatments he presented a notable increase in stamina, and elevated spirits. His legs appear to have increased circulation and felt warm to the touch increasing to the ankles. The purple-ish hue in his legs improved to a light red. He received 40 treatments and in an exit interview with Joseph and his family members he made the following observations.
" I can tell that I have a lot more energy and have even been able to go out with my wife on a short trip to my sons hockey game, something I have not been able to do in a very long time. I don't tire as quickly as I used to and I feel stronger. And I have also noticed that my legs have a more normal color. " He was able to notice an increase in his bladder control.
