During your first visit here you will undergo a medical screening exam to ensure that it is safe for you or your child to undergo HBOT.

You will then change out of your street clothes and into scrubs, which are provided here.
You may choose a video(s) or TV channel to watch during your dive, or listen to music.

We will provide you with a cup of water to take inside the chamber to sip on to help equilibrate the pressure in your ears.

You will be placed on a stretcher to enter the chamber. As the pressure increases (also known as the “descent”), the temperature inside will increase slightly. You may also feel some slight pressure in your ears, roughly the equivalent of descending in an airplane.

The chamber makes a soft hum while running.

When you reach “depth” or the pressure for your treatment, the chamber will cool to a comfortable temperature.

The pressure sensation in the ears should resolve and you should feel exactly as you do in room pressure.

You may enjoy the TV, rest, or take a nap.

On the “ascent” or return to room pressure, you may experience popping in your ears again, to equalize the pressure.

The chamber door will open when you reach room pressure and your dive is now complete.
